Art, memory, experimentation, elegance, and innovation: this is today’s Del Cambio. Historically authentic spaces and contemporary artistic works coexist, from Pistoletto’s mirror surfaces to Patkin’s complex visual metaphors. This world offers an experience that combines past and present, paying homage to Turin’s sensibility.
Pablo Bronstein
A work of ambitious dimensions, commissioned for Bar Cavour, depicts the remains of an ideal city designed by Guarino Guarini. The vision of the palace-city creates a destabilizing atmosphere, an impossible relationship between inside and outside, a space-time and architectural journey that is consumed in a few meters.
Arturo Herrera
The work that Herrera has imagined for Del Cambio is a wall painting that decorates the vault of Bar Cavour. Realized with the technique of the gold-plating, referring to the precious decorations of the noble hall on the ground floor, the work consists of abstract lines that give a strong dynamism to the spaces. The artist wanted to create a “total space” in strong dialogue with every element of Bar Cavour, be it the furniture or the people inside the room.
